Shame on me!

Well, looks like I’ve done it again. I’ve treated my poor little blog the same way I’ve treated my journals for years. Pure abandonment. Shame on me! Not that I have anyone on the edge of their seat when it comes to my uber exciting life, but it’s good for me to take the time to write and reflect, for my own sake. So… with that said, lets have a little recap!

EPIC weekend
I was lucky enough to have some of my bestest friends come and visit me this past Labor day weekend. I couldn’t have asked for a better time. There was sun, good food, live music, laughter, dancing, singing, fake jersey accents, boxed wine, more boxed wine, and an overall amazing time had by all.

6ft of Fun
I’m pretty sure I came up with the best idea I’ve ever had with this one. I wasn’t able to make it for my best friend’s birthday this year, so instead I sent her a life-size tracing of ME!

Old Friends
The Santor family was nice enough to invite me down to Seabrook one afternoon to visit them on their vacation. I’m pretty sure it had been at least 8 years or so since we had last seen each other. It was so nice catching up!

As for the “sandbox” situation, it has gotten much better. I’ve been meeting new people and keeping myself busy with little new adventures. I must say, knowing a few girls from KY that live down here has definitely helped! But I’ve made some new friends here too, the closest being my neighbor Crystal (who gave me quite the scolding when she read the previous sandbox posting). I’ve also bonded with the navy boys on my floor at the apartment, they are full of great stories and watch Jersey Shore with me. Yes, we fist pump. In my most recent excursions I’ve also managed to find a shag dance partner, rock band-mates, sailors, fellow bluegrass enthusiasts, jam session musicians, and pool buddies. I have most importantly found some great people that make me laugh and enjoy one another’s company.

So I’d have to say all in all I haven’t done too bad for myself thus far!
